Objectspace November 2007

Rangi Kipa works in the fields of taa moko, sculpture (wood, stone, bone, corian) and ethnographic taonga. In all of these fields he has established an international reputation for innovation while constantly drawing inspiration from his Maori heritage. A window installation for Objectspace, these works of whale tooth Kipa has made especially for his family as an heirloom collection to be handed down. They were not created as exhibition pieces and Objectspace is privileged to exhibit them.A range of work by Rangi will be on display for three weeks beginning November 17th 2007.
